Hammurabi believed in Arm for arm laws, or set of rules. Hammurabi was an empire who ruled Babylon for 42 years. 282 rules or laws were created by Hammurabi, in order to end the chaos in Mesopotamia. Hammurabi wrote the laws on a big black stone in the middle of Babylon. He did this so that everyone who lived Babylon would follow the rules. Hammurabi wrote rules that are very cruel and gruesome. The rules favor the rich and the men of Mesopotamia.
